DURA-FLOTM PC: Landscape Design Guide

THE PROBLEM SOLVER

  • Easy to Install

  • Precise Watering

  • Pressure Compensating

  • Low Maintenance

  • Unobtrusive

  • No Overspray

  • Perfect for Irregular Shaped Areas

  • Uses Standard Fittings (.600" ID x .700" OD tubing)

DURA-FLOTM PC dripperline is the ideal product for your commercial and residential landscape water-ing needs. It is easy to install, delivers water uniformly and requires minimal maintenance. With its unique built-in filtration slits and self-cleaning design, clogging is minimized. DURA-FLOTM PC dripperline is more effective and efficient than sprinklers in hard to irrigate areas. No more run-offs, puddling, stained fences, wet walkways and windows.

For most applications, a grid layout of the DURA-FLO TM PC dripperline is recommended. The grid comprises a supply and exhaust header and the dripperline. The headers are normally constructed from PVC pipe and fittings, but sometimes polyethylene tubing and compression fittings are preferred. A filter, valve, pressure regulator plus air/relief and flush valve complete the system.

Additional Layout Options

The grid system may either be end or center fed. When necessary, the maximum allowable length of dripperline is effectively doubled when center feeding the zone.

Curve-Shaped

Ell-Shaped

Rectangular-Shaped

There are endless layout options that can be used, but it is recommended the basic grid pattern connecting the dripperline to supply and exhaust headers always be followed.

Odd-Shaped

Triangle-Shaped

Round-Shaped

All drip emitters are color coded for easy flow rate identification. One of the most important char-acteristics of the emitter is its self-cleaning feature. If dirt were to enter the emitter, the diaphragm relaxes to initiate a flush cycle to allow the debris to flush out.

Typical Applications

Residential

Medians

Parking Lot Islands

DESIGN FORMULA

 System Flow Rate (gpm) =

2.4 x Irrigated Area (ft2) x Emitter Flow Rate (gph)

Emitter Spacing (inches) x Dripperline Spacing (inches)

 Application Rate (inches/hr) =

231 x Emitter Flow Rate (gph)
Emitter Spacing (inches) x Dripperline Spacing (inches)

 Total Dripperline Required (feet) =

                    12 x Irrigated Area (ft2)
Dripperline Spacing (inches)
